Our traditional restaurant
and its hotel***
welcome you all year round
With 60 years of renown in the region, the house known as "Hotel Gilg" was to be taken over at the end of 2019.
Originally from Strasbourg, Laurent and his big brother Nicolas embarked on the adventure at the end of January 2020.
In the shade of the bell towers of the churches, near the Renaissance Town Hall, through the narrow flowery streets, in the secrecy of its cellars, Mittelbergheim tells about its passions. At the bend of a street located on the Alsace Wine Route, under the spell of gastronomy, a house dating from 1614 springs up in front of you. Its soul, its stained glass windows, and its paintings will make you want to stay a while or come back for a weekend.
During your visit to this magnificent village classified among "The Most Beautiful Villages of France", do not miss the opportunity to discover the dishes simmered by Nicolas and his team, as well as the bottles of wines from here and elsewhere selected by Laurent.

The hotel and its 10 rooms
Dating from the 17th century, the building rises in the heart of Mittelbergheim - a village classified among the most beautiful villages in France. The house has been transformed into a hotel over the years.
With its 10 spacious and quiet rooms , Laurent and Nicolas welcome you at home, inspired by their childhood memories.
The hotel offers its charming rooms, each with a unique identity, but not accessible to people with reduced mobility.
Our events
Throughout the year, we will be offering themed menus on a selection of dates; three types of menu will emerge depending on the event:
- "party" menu (Valentine's Day, Easter, National Day, etc.)
- "product" menu (developed around the same product)
- "wine-grower" menu (in collaboration with a wine-grower, offering a food / wine pairing)
When a themed menu takes place, the usual menu will remain available.
Our teams
The Sarment is above all men and women who work every day with passion to welcome you, offer you a friendly and warm service and prepare you wonderful dishes.
